You may remember Alika and AJ from the engagement session last winter ( AJ&Alika Engagement ) We were excited when they asked us to photograph their wedding. On one hand, we knew it was going to be a blast because of the fun I had at the engagement session and on the other hand, it would be an adventure for us because the wedding was going to be in Lethbridge, somewhere neither Jason or myself have ever been. We were right on both counts!! Thanks to Jason’s sister and brother-in-law (THANKSEVANDMARV!!!!!) we were able to head down to Lethbridge kid free. If you ever head that way via Edmonton, make sure you hit up a bathroom before leaving Edmonton. Just saying! Lethbridge is beautiful!! We pulled in just in time for the rehearsal and were amazed at how beautiful, vibrant and yet quaint the city was. And the church was just wonderful! We met up with AJ and Alika again the next morning as they were getting ready for the wedding. AJ and men (ahem, boys) got a straight blade hot shave while the ladies were getting their hair done. The ceremony went off with out a hitch and we were off for family photos. What fun families!! And then the bridal photos. I’ll let the pictures say the rest. Other then : We had a BLAST :) Never too far away was a giggle, laugh or cheer. We even managed to break into an old parkade (oops… ) for some great pictures.
AJ and Alika, thank you again for your trust in us. We had so much fun with you all and will forever remember this day. We pray that you will continue to be a blessing to those around you, reflecting God’s love wherever you go. God bless!
Amber used to babysit for us, took our daughter skiing for the first time, was a welcome part of the young peoples group that came over regularly, taught our kids in sunshine hour at bible study; was always around (except for the part where she moved away for a bit, but we’ll forgive her for that) and always had a smile on her face. A smile that just got bigger when Dirk entered the picture. Always laughing together, goofing off, playing around is how I picture these two. And to see them on their wedding day so happy together will be something that I’ll remember for a long time.
Dirk and Amber, even though we couldn’t be there for the full day, we still were incredibly blessed that you included us in your special day. God has brought you together, now in marriage and it is our prayer for you that He will continue to be the guide in this next chapter of your lives. Congrats and God bless!
We met Katie at a wedding last year and were thrilled when she contacted us to be a part of her wedding day. Listening to her chat about the upcoming event was fun. You could tell that both of them were excited to be getting married, to have all their friends and family around them and to hang out together with them all.
They were both very relaxed on their wedding day, both eager to see each other. Katie looked stunning in her dress and Zach was a handsome groom. The wonderful part about their day was that you could tell they were in love, deeply in love. A committed-to-each-other kind of love. Smiling and relaxing all day, we had a fantastic time with them. They were up for basically any idea we threw at them and their bridal party was a blast to work with.
Thank you Zach and Katie for allowing us to be a part of your special day. We wish you the very best as you begin your life together. God bless.
Thanks again to Rebecca for tagging along :) I love it when you do that :)
